Dolomites

Alpine treks, via ferrata and mountain refuges — author tour to Italy's most iconic mountains

The Dolomites are a unique mountain range in northeastern Italy, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Jagged peaks, turquoise lakes, emerald meadows and mountain refuges serving the best pasta in the Alps.

We run a hiking tour through the most beautiful spots: Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lago di Sorapis, Cinque Torri, Lago di Federa. Routes are chosen so you get the views without destroying yourself physically.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When to visit the Dolomites?

June-September for hiking (refuges open, no snow). September is best (golden autumn, clear). Winter is ski season — not our format.

How much does the tour cost?

The next departure price is to be confirmed. The 2026 reference programme uses apartments and includes breakfasts and dinners; the organiser will confirm current terms and pricing.

Visa?

Schengen (Italy is a member).

Are the hikes hard?

From easy (Tre Cime) to serious (Vajolet). We give daily choices. Minimum — normal fitness, no special skills. We hike between refuges, not via ferrata.

What to pack?

Hiking boots (stiff sole required), poles, rain shell, warm mid-layer, sunglasses, SPF 50. We send the full list.

Can we do via ferrata?

A separate via ferrata activity is not listed in the attached PDF. Availability, a guide and equipment must be agreed separately.

Group size?

6-8 people. One minivan.

Language barrier?

Tour leader speaks English and Russian. Refuges work in English. No language issues on the trail.
